Java-Swing 3D landscape sculpture application.  Uses Sun Java2 Virtual Machine under all popular OSs.

GT

Graphical User Interface for the Genesis Toolkit.  Fast camera and light setups for the POV-Ray rendering engine.  Scripted in Tcl/Tk for Linux. 

Land Ho

Landscape model painting plugin for Blender 3D CAD.  GUI written in Python with OpenGL for Linux, Windows, and BeOS. 

Raw-Inc

Common modeller raw 3D data translator.  Reads raw data and writes POV-Ray voxel map include files.  Coded in generic cross-platform ANSI-C.

  Test plan and code responsibility for first foundry silicon verification.

  Designed Automated Test Execution firmware for custom microcontroller/ASIC systems-on-a-chip.  Wrote applications in assembler and microcode.  Provided training in architecture and tool use for technical staff.

  Disc drive instrumentation and test tools developer.

  Designed and implemented embedded control, communication and test language engine for head-disc clearance flyheight research program.  Maintained laboratory data acquisition system software used for magnetic component characterization.  Coded applications in C and proprietary script.

  Developer of embedded selftest and process methods for hard disc drives.

  Codesigned and implemented embedded operating system with proprietary communication protocol, task sequencer and overlay manager.  Ported, extended and maintained selftest engine code.  Coded adaptive read channel tuning modules for IBM-PC/IDE based production test.  Applications written in C and 8051 assembler.

  Designed hardware and software for 32MHz, 10k gate mixed-signal ASIC test stations, including communication and live front panel display.  Implemented generic tape backup drive firmware with multiple standard and proprietary format, read and write capabilities.  Applications written in C and 8051 assembler.

  Assisted in Engineering Verification Test design, documentation, and training.

Designed hardware and software for MIDI synthesizer test station.  Coded in Forth and 65RF12 assembler.

Syntest II

Designed software for IBM-PC based MIDI test station using Roland's MPU-IPC interface.  Written in C and 8088 assembler.

In-Voice

Designed software GUI audiotape editor and driver for DSP speech digitizer.  Written in 8088 Asssembler.

CyberTerm

Designed hardware and firmware for industrial process controller with parameter editor and process monitor.  Coded in 8051 assembler.

  Responsible for firmware implementations in automated inspection station controllers.

  Performed software, hardware, and mechanical design for a variety of multi-axis motion controllers, including servos and microsteppers.  Designed software and hardware for many custom interfaces including bit port, parallel, joystick, RS-232C and IEEE-488.  Applications in Z-80 assembler, Forth and BASIC. 

  Created product design documentation.  Provided technical assistance for fab vendors and production personnel.  Supervised consultants' electromechanical and peripheral software design efforts.  Trained technicians in test and repair procedures.
